Glimpse to a New World

It's almost 10:00 in the evening . Finally I've already finished my home works and reviewed my lessons. I am supposed to sleep but I decided to just have a nap on my chair. I suddenly find my tired eyes beginning to close down...slowly...slowly...Then I remember that I didn't finish yet my blog for the month of November and it's already December, that's why I decided to wake up and finish this blog. This is my post about our 2days experience in that finest and perfect city of Baguio.
It was then November 28, when I together with some of my classmates (Levie, Reyal, Clifford and Roma) met at the van station . On our way going to Baguio we were much amazed in the sceneries that we pass by including the mountains, mini waterfalls, bridges, rivers and many more. A cool breeze welcomes us upon arriving in Baguio at exactly 8:00 am. First come into my our mind is boating...Yeah boating in Burnham Park which really mark into our mind. After enjoying boating we are all in hurry because we heard about the news that celebrities from ASAP XV are in the Melvin Jones Park which was near to Burnham Park. While walking going to that place, excitement and happiness were really see in our face but unfortunately we are not given chance to meet them closely but it's okay atleast we heard their voices loud and clear. After that we meet our other classmates and we went together to SLU to take their college entrance examination. Upon entering the campus we met strange faces from different various places from all over the country . We were then terribly nervous and tensed.
After 3 hours of taking examination. We meet Joffa and Danica who serves as our tour guides in Baguio City's famous touris spots like Mines View Park, SM Baguio and the Mansion.
Upon leaving I brought a smile and a memorable memories that I will treasure until I grow old . A treasuble memories that I encountered in just A Glimpse in A New World.
And that's all..
ADVANCE MERRY CHRISTMAS......

Novemberific Memoirs

November was one of my favorite month, because some of my memorable, enjoyable, and treasurable memories were happened in this month. Reminiscing some of this colorful and happiest memories makes me smile fo a while. That's why I decided to recall them and post them all in my blog. First I started to browse my daily journal and take a look on it.
November 1- All Saint's Day Celebration. As usual it's our grand vacation that's why we have a long time to commemorate our departed loved ones in cemetery. It is memorable because most of my relatives came here to visit us and also our departed loved ones.
November 6- My 16th Birthday. Of course I considered it as one of my happiest day every year. Not only because of the gift that I received but also because most of my classmates, schoolmates, and friends greeted me and also because my families and some relatives are right beside me to celebrate with me in this special day of mine.
November 13- Card day. A very special gift suprised me because I placed no.11 this 2nd grading period. That was really made me feel very happy because that was considered as one of my achievement in my senior years. It is also a perfect gift to my parents who really supported me a lot.
November 28- I went to Baguio to take the St.Louis University Entrance Examination. That was really a very memorable and a treasurable experience for me that reallyin my mind.
Time was so fast that we never notice sweet, sad, and happy memories that come to an end . But look back to those memories and think of it. They are indeed a treasure, a treasure that you think a small one but day will come that you'll realize they were the big ones.
Good day readers..

Search for the star

It's already Sunday, last day of October and I was rushing this blog for this month. But I cannot concentrate well because my mind is in the state of Nirvana because of the very long vacation . My mind and body doesn't function very well that's why it is difficult for me to do this blog about my experience in Acting Workshop. But even I'm not in the mood in doing this blog. I force myself to do it for my grades. Who knows someday I'll become a good writer or a theater actor, like in my topic for this blog. By the way have you ever heard the word theater or become a part of it? Well, if your answer is no , you have to concentrate reading in this blog .THEATER it's so easy to pronounce right? But it is hard to perform.

Many hidden talented students showed during our 2 days workshop about Theater Arts, to be specific it was about acting, singing, and dancing. Almost one hundreds multi-students Charlesians showed up like a mushrooms coming from the ground. They are now considered as a theater icons, who have the potential to become theater's best actors and actresses in the future.

Have you ever heard of Lea Salonga who played Kim in the play Ms.Saigon. She was really a pride of every Filipino and no doubt she was really a theater star princess.Lea will never be successful as she is without her hardwork and determination and also because of her dedicated mentor.

Like Lea, I'm also glad that SCA given me the chance to be a part of Theater workshop at my young age.I would like to thanks our dedicated mentor who shared their talents, knowledge, and skills on us, especially Sir Bryan who was truly a man with a very big heart.

Being a big starcannot only be applied in theater but in our daily lives too. Make things happen-be a star in our own field .Till next time Good day!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Highlights of October

It's raining outside and the cool breeze started to soothes my mind that's why I'm in the mood in doing this blog.I decided to get my pen and paper and I started writing and brain storming. By the way I am doing a blog about our very first United Nations Celebration.
1:00 pm,October 15 2010- the gymnasium of St.Charles Academy was occupied by the cheers and yells for their bets to the very first "Search for Mr.and Ms.UN 2010". This breathtaking pageant was considered as one of the highlights of the event. There were almost 20 candidates representing different countries competed. But before that intense pageant, let's reminisced first the Trade Fair happened. All senior students like me, acted like a real businessman and businesswoman. Entrepreneurs there, there, and there; almost every corners and sides of the gym you can see a young entrepreneurs. At first, in my part I think it"s quietly boring and not so fun at all but time passed I learned to love it better. It was organized by Mrs.Irene Pagsanjan for us, the 4th year students. They are trying to exposed us in a real world of Entrepreneurship. We are also trained to socialized with others and to become productive in our way. Back to the search for Mr.and Ms. UN. I was really amazed as the candidates captivated my eyes when they started to walked in the stage. Together with audiences ear-crashing shouts, cheers, screams, and yells ,a very heavy rained poured. At the end the beauty of Ms.MEXICO hailed as the queen of the night as she crowned the Ms.UN and the devastating charm of Mr.USA captured the eyes of judges as they proclaimed as the Mr.UN.
And that's all ,hope to see you next time..

INTRAMURALS 2010, blast off

WE ARE THE POISONOUS AND THE UNBEATTABLE GREEN VIPERS!!

"I am a slow walker but I never walk backward" seek for victory. That was an inspirational quotation of Johnie Walker. A simple yet a meaningful quotation that every player must pursue and remember. That victory and triumph can be easily achieve when you do your best and try hard for success. A success that every Charlesain player aims. That's why one of the greatest thing why SCA player is well known is that player show sportsmanship and nowadays, they are more competetive .That why this Intramurals 2010 competition goes higher and hotter between 6 sizzling hot teams, lead by green vipers, our team for this year.Thousands of student rocks the SCA 2010 last Sept.24-26. A memorable event that everyone is waiting for. I am one of the thousand student who excites a lot in this event that's why I decided to joined our volleyball team. During our game I felt very nervous and ashamed because some audience were laughing on us because were not so good in playing volleyball but even their were irritating sound and noise that disturbing us we did not let them affect us . Instead we gave our best but our best is not enough because we lose the game . But fortunately we thank God very much because even we didn't snatched the champion slot at least we placed on the 2nd spot . WIN or LOSE it's okay the important is the experience that we encoutered that help us gain our fighting spirit, strength and courage to face another challenge in our life.

SCIENCE AND MATH CLUB, at it's best.

If Makabayan club celebrated Nutrition Month and Communication Arts club celebrated the "Buwan ng Wika". Are you wondering what Sci-Math club will celebrate? If the other two clubs have an unique and original celebration. Sci-Math Club has also an excruciating and extraordinary celebration held last Sept.10 and 13,2010. The club focused on environmental and technological aspects that nurtured the minds and abilities of young students in line with the theme "Nurturing Genius in me". They also promoted different contest and activities like different booths, collage making, logo making, photo parade, exhibit, and of course the main attraction the search for Mr.and Ms. Kalikasan 2010. this celebration would never be perfect without the "bayanihan" of Sci-Math Advisers, club officers and members that really work hard and exerted their effort a lot to make the program successful.Different activities really marks on my mind two of them are the following first is the opening of different booths . Message delivery was assigned on us . Second was the search for Mr. and Ms. Kalikasan who stopped the students in their track as the candidate walked with their recycled costume on a mini catwalk. We, Franciscans gave our full support to our two classmates who joined the contest .At the end my classmate David De Guzman titled as the new Mr. Kalikasan, after the celebration we got a good and nice feedbacks and comments about the celebration .Were very happy and proud because finally our MISSION was ACCOMPLISHED and JOB WELL DONE.

Stairway to Mount Olympus

GOOD DAY
MY FELLOW GODS AND GODDESSES
My friends, followers, and all the people of the Earth , a brilliant day to all of you. I am Atlas one of the mighty titan who came from Mt.Olympus, A Titan who carried the Earth on his shoulders. That is my mythological character but let me first introduce the real me. I am a simple and a humble student namely RG came from a beautiful kingdom called Saint Charles Academy. I was sent to Mount Olympus to perform in front of you especially to majestic God Maurison Aquino and two gorgeous Goddesses Susana Bilwayen and Frances Claudio.
O.M.G...G!! Oh my Gods and Goddesses .That performance really marked on my mind. I am very nervous and ashamed not only because their are so many people watching us but also for being the first performer from our section. But at the time that I've finished my performanc my nervousness turns into gladness and happiness. After that I am really looking forward for the announcement of comments and scores. I am really hoping to have a good score that will surely suited for my hardwork and dedication in this perfomance. After two days the most awaited day has finally came. All of us was very excited about the comments and our scores that Sir Maurison will give to us but after giving our scores different emotions were prevailed some were very happy but others were sad , uncontented of their scores. After that breath-taking announcement, a very bad and shocking revelation followed they revealed that all of us got automatically zero in our perfomanced because of our naughty behavior and for disobeying their rules regarding in our performance. After that revelation ,our world break apart because all our hardwork resultd into a very big zero...But time passed I've realized that God gave me thathfailures not to let me down but He gave me that so from that failures that I encounter can be our strength in facing another problems and challenges that wil come in my life

FILIPINO: My language,Your langauage,Our Language

Do you love your country?
Are you using your own national language?
Are you a good Filipino speaker?
Do you really care for your own language?
Those are the questions every Filipino must answer YES... If you love your country, you are using your own national language and if you are using your own national language, you are a real Filipino, Filipino in heart, mind, and soul.
Filipino,Filipino,Filipino, our national language, a national treasure that every Filipino people must use , anytime, everywhere, and anywhere. A language that was proudly made by Manuel Luis Quezon, the father of our national language. Filipino was a combination of different languages in our country such as Tagalog,Ilokano,Bisaya,Pangasinan and many more.
Every Filipino people must use our national language, in order to show our patriotism and love of country. That's why every August our country is celebrating the "Buwan ng Wika". I was so happy and proud because our school presented a magnificent and extraordinary celebration that held last August 26,2010. A celebration that gave emphasis to our national language, historical culture, and rich nature.Different contest and activities were happened like poster making contest, essay writing, poem making, debate, and many more. But there are three contest/activities that really marked on my mind. First in the line was the Filipino Exhibit, which makes us all looks like crazy in decorating, cleaning, and furnishing our room with different Filipino works, arts, and crafts everyday. But that hardworking and tiring days gave us a good result, because we got the second place. Second was the film viewing about the thrilling and scary movie which is the " Shake Rattle and Roll".And last but definitely not the least was the prestigious modeling of different Filipino and Filipina dress. Everybody was excited about it looking forward if who will pronounce as the new "G.at Bb. Pagrampa ng Makapilipinong kasuotan".At the end of the contest the beauty of Cristina Valdez and the good looks of Jacky Bustarde prevailed as they proclaimed as the winner. That was a breathtaking scene in the school and a memorable day for the winners. Even though I'm not a Com-Arts member, I really enjoyed the celebration thanks to Com-Arts Club who made this celebration wonderful and successful.

Time After Time

TIK-TOK! TIK-TOK! TIK-TOK!, what a brilliant sound. A sound that makes the world turn around. A sound of clock which give us time. Time that we need in our everyday life. What a crystal time that passed so fast, like a tiny dust in our eyes.
I am so happy because at last first grading has already passed. Another chapter of my school life has ended. But before this memorable first grading ended a big bunches of knowledge were added to my learning ,especially in English subject. At first I consider English a difficult, hard, and boring subject, but that was before. As the time goes by, I learned to loved English even more. That is because great satisfaction and lots of learning that English gave to me. For me it is an excruciating subject, intense in terms of fun and adventure that help us gained knowledge and self-confidence like different activities and role plays. One of the memorable role play that we do was the individual commercial. WOOHOO!, at first I was so nervous and ashamed in doing my own commercial in front of the class. A commercial that really marks on their mind. I endorsed the anti-dandruff shampoo which is the Clear no dandruff shampoo. After that commercial my classmate started teasing and laughing at me all the time. After that funny role play , a very arduous examination followed. OMG!!! My hear twas beating very fast and I think that all my memories and learnings were shuffled that I cannot answered even a simple question in two particular subjects which are the Math and English. After the exam I was really worried about my score in that two subjects. After I saw my testpaper I was happy even though I got not so good scores I proudly say that I did my best but my best is not good enough.

Summit of Success

"Don't lose hope try and try until you succeed". For others it's just only a simple and ordinary motto but for me it is not only an idyllic motto but it is a very meaningful and extraordinary motto that every person must pursue. Especially for those people who have a lot dreams in life like me.I am also a person who will do all I can just to reach all my dreams. One of my greatest dream in life is to become a doctor someday. But before I reach that dream I need to study first in an University that will give me a good education that I will be needing in my future. That university is the University of the Philippines (UP) because once in my life I dreamed to become one of the"Iskolar ng Bayan",but before that I must first pass their mind-sweeping,brain-twisting and arduous entrance examination that held last August 7-8, 2010. When I surf the (UPCAT) website I was shocked about what I read because according to them almost 65,000 students from all over the Philippines even from the other country take the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) but approximately only 5,000of them are admitted as incoming"Iskolar ng Bayan".After reading I think I lost my self-confidence and self-esteem because I know my limit and I know that their is a possibility of not passing in that examination. But I still convinced my self that if I study hard and try my very best there us a chance of passing, like I said don't lose hope, I will try and try until I succeed.

Justice and Freedom

In our second week in English class, our mentor Mr. Maurison Aquino gave us a task. A task that challenge us all . That is to make a three different stories, first is the story of our own life or my story, story of other person or your story and lastly is the story of our class or our story. And they also told us to read it aloud in front.I was very excited about that task because I believe that all of us have are own story of life. That may only differ size, contents, ideas, thoughts, and moral lessons. Each of the stories can touch our hearts and inspire us but their are also stories that can hurt us and can make us cry.But the important is even though whats the effect of the story in our life we should always be ready to accept it and learn to understand it.We should always give justice to every story we read. Not only to story but also to every things and people in our surrounding. We should practice to give them justice.Besides from justice we should also give freedom to other so that they would also give us freedom that we need. One way of showing freedom in our school is the choosing of club that student want. It was held last June 2010. I have chosen Science-Math Club because I want to become part of that brain twisting club, I want to enhance my ability in that two particular subject and lastly I am excited of their activities and contest.

Call of Holiness

"Always put God first in all I do" that's my first rule in life that I written in my English notebook. A rule that I need to apply always and also a rule that inspire me very much.Because that rule explains that in all things that I will do, in all decisions that I will make and in all path that I will choose to follow, always remember God and put Him always besides you, so that He will always teach and guide you in a good way and in a right path. Spreading His words and following His works is a good example of showing love and respect to God and also the best way of applying the first rule in my life. That's why last month I decided to joined the catechist examination. Hoping that I will become a part of the newest batch of God's disciples that will spread His words and proclaim His good works and good deeds especially to elementary pupils.A few weeks later when the time comes that they will announced the successful examinees that passed the examinations.I was very suprised that I could not even expressed my feelings because I saw my name in the list. I am very happy and excited about that and I'm looking forward in seminar. One week later after the announcement of winner all the successful examinees who passed the examinations attended a 3 days seminars in the Parish center. I have a mixed emotions that time, happy because I passed the exam, excited because I wonder if what activity are their in the seminar and worried because I will really missed many lessons in all my subject especially English. But that mixed emotions become one emotion when the seminar started, we become all very holy until the last hour of that seminar.Another week has passed, a day that all catechist has been waiting for,the day of our first teaching in Central-I and Central-II.Most of us were nervous especially me. My feet and hands were shaking while I'm walking but when the time that I enter the room my shaking feet and hands become an instrument of God to proclaim his words and deeds. After that one hour orientation to my pupils I felt very happy and that happiness marks an unforgettable moment that I will really treasure at the rest of my life.
