I LOVE HIGHSCHOOL LIFE!!!

Reminiscing the colorful and treasurable memories of high school year is one of the fantastic things we do when we are on the other horizon of our life. High school life is the most enjoyable, memorable and happiest time of your life, as they say. The wonderful adventures of life, the sweetness of happiness shared with our comrades are treasures in high school life. But why and what makes it enjoyable, memorable and happiest?
When we have enrolled and have our first day in school, we met new strange faces. We felt nervous at that time. Trembling when we introduced our selves in front of those new faces. As months passed by, those fresh faces became our close friend. They become our funniest, wittiest and wackiest friends. There are times we share much fun and excitement, joys and tears, secrets, problems, victory and defeat, ups and downs of life. There are also times we share laughter, their corny, silly and “green” jokes that bring our stomach aches. There also time that we're really depressed or down that we need their encouraging words and advices. They will come to share your pain, defeat your experienced, victory you have gained.
In this period also, you will meet your crush, that once you admire most. How your heart beats and tickle when ever she passes by or talks to you eve for a while! Good, if they serve as your inspiration. It is really exciting to be in high school and nothing beats the excitement of seniors, even if you feel bad leaving our dear alma mater. We feel very anxious, frenetic and pressured when we feel matured, confident unsure and sometimes confused. We’re excited when the actual marching down the aisle or finish line of achievement of every high school studs comes. But we’re still problematic about term paper to finish, exam to passed, options to choose from and decision to make. And we are really on our “crossroads of our life”

Graduation… time seems so fast that we never notice sweet, sad, and happy memories will come to an end. But look back… friends, teachers, crushes, school campus and memories we share with them. They are indeed our treasures!

High school is so fun. Enjoy it! Cherish every moment that happened whether big or small. Never neglect the small ones for one day you’ll realize, they were the big ones!

Facebook : Like or Unlike

As I turned on my computer, I heard a small voice calling my name, the voice lead me to a familiar place that I love to visit.

In that place, I met a two strange moving signage. The first signage immediately approached me with a smile in his face; he looks like a happy and a good signage. He introduced his self as LIKE, a very friendly and kind signage. The second one is not as good as LIKE; he is sad and naughty signage because he shouted his name to me and leaves immediately. By the way his name is UNLIKE.

LIKE tour me to his cyber world called “Facebook”. I was really amazed because he told me that it is a best place for everyone to relax, to freshen up their mind and to find friends.

He tours me to his favorite spots in the website. There is a place called “Wall”, a space on every user’s profile page that allows friends to post messages for the user’s to see; “Pokes” which allows users to send a virtual poke to each other ; “Photos” where users can upload albums and photos ; and “Status” which allows users to inform their friends of their where about and actions and all of this is free to users.

LIKE is also happy because he has more than 500 million friends coming from different part of the world including Philippines.

When LIKE leaves me for an important reason, I saw UNLIKE crying on the dark corner of the website. I asked him why he is crying. His said it is because he hates their place “Facebook” because according to him it is full of criticism and controversies. It has been blocked intermittently in several countries including China, Vietnam, Iran, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Syrian and Bangladesh on different bases. It was also banned in many workplaces to prevent the wasting of employee’s time. There are also some instances the some people using Facebook in crime and blackmailing. That reason keeps UNLIKE unlinking Facebook.

As I leave that place I leave a message in the box they called “Comment”. I said “LIKE and UNLIKE I have really a great experience with the two of you. Because of the tour I saw the good and bad effects of using facebook. Thank you very much for that wonderful time with you. Hope to see you again.”

And as I logged out of that website a big question keep on roaming in my mind. Facebook LIKE or UNLIKE?

K-pop Invasion

Hallyu, a popularly known as the Korean wave, continues to cast its spell in the Philippines. Not only are Korean dramas being embraced by Filipinos but more teens and young adults are becoming ardent fans of K-pop artist as well.

All the way from South Korea, K-pop was born in the Philippines indirectly through the rise of Koreanovelas in 2003; some of these Koreanovelas that first aired in the Philippines television are Endless Love, My Sassy Girl and Full House which really hooked the Filipino televiewers.

K-pop is a musical genre consisting of electronic, hip-hop, pop, rock, and R&B music originating in South Korea. It is rapidly inching its way to the Philippine Music Industry. As of today there are numerous K-pop performers that are close to the Filipino hearts. Among the most famous are U-kiss, Super Junior, Girls Generation, TVXQ, Shinee, and Wonder Girls. As you noticed almost all of them are idol group. Their songs are really famous now and probably are closing to international artists. Even though most Filipino do not understand Korean it’s really surprising that they even go the extra mile and show effort to learn their language. K-pop started to proliferate the airwaves in the world for the fist time, in the year 2009 when Wonder Girls place in the US Billboard hot 100 for their single Nobody.

Two of the most popular boy group in K-pop is Shinee and TVXQ. Both group captivated the hearts of every Filipina. TVXQ was crowned as the Kings of K-pop while Shinee is Korea’s first boy band lead by Jong hyun.

Aside from K-pop dramas and music, Korean fashion is also in among teenagers and young adults throughout the world resulting in widespread interest in their style and looks.

All I can say is K-pop is so amazing and Sarang Heyo K-pop.

0phiuchus: A Rising Star

Are you aware of the flabbergasting changes happened? Well if not, you have to STOP, LOOK and LISTEN.

STOP reading those old newspapers and magazines featuring daily horoscope and giving you your lucky numbers and colors.

LOOK at the night sky observe the changes happened.

LISTEN to the forecast; you might be astonished of the news that your Zodiac signs are not the one you used to be.

Almost all people really surprised about the changes happened. Some just accepted it but others keep on asking why this happened?

According to Parke Kunkle, an astrologer, the reason behind the Zodiac dates was the Earth wobble around its axis creating a one month bump in the stars alignment.

According to the astrological principles, the sun travels from the constellation Scorpio and goes directly to the sign of Sagittarius but due to the constant motion of the cosmos, the sun enters for a few days of the year, the star constellation “Ophiuchus” before entering Sagittarius from Scorpio, thus creating astrologically the birth of a 13th sign of the zodiac, which named as Ophiuchus or the Serpent Holder.

The constellation of Ophiuchus is the only sign of the zodiac sign which is linked to a real man. This man is lived in Egypt around 27th century BC and his mane is Imhotep. He is credited with many accomplishments including the knowledge and use of medicine. He is also brought the art of healing to mankind.

Despite of lack of complete research and observational evidence for astrology, 25% of Filipinos still believe in it.

Here are the real dates of astrological signs according to astronomer.

Capricorn January 21-February 16

Aquarius February 17- March 11

Pisces March 12- April 18

Aries April 19-May 13

Taurus May 14- June 21

Gemini June 22- July 20

Cancer July 21-August 10

Leo August 11- September 16

Virgo September 17-October 30

Libra October 31- November 23

Scorpio November 24- November 29

Ophiuchus November30- December 17

So are you flabbergasted of the news? It was only the beginning of searching the reasons why. But for now try to accept your new zodiac signs you didn’t know that time will come that you will also learn to love it. And you will suddenly realize that it is right to STOP for a while LISTEN to the news and LOOK forward to a new you.

2011: A Cool Beginning

2010 is a very good year for me but their are also problems and struggles that tested my faith in God. This 2011 I am looking forward to a cool beginning that will freshen up my mind and that will give me a new experience and adventure that will surely satisty me.
Last Christmas and New Year vacation all I do is wait for the celebration and stayed at home doing different things that I love to do . Some of this are reading books, magazines, newspaper, and articles that hobby gives me a broad knowledge and information about the things that didn't know yet. I also spent mytime in writing poems . One poem that I wrote is the poem "Cool Beginning" a poem about New Year.

Cool Beginning

After Christmas vacation.
Here comes New Year's attention.
One of my memorable occasion.
Is to welcome the 2011 celebration.

Fireworks and fountains make the sky bright.
Firecrackers added noise to the night.
People wishing many things in such many ways.
To give them charms and luck in the New Year's day.

Before the 2010 ended,
I remember all good and bad things that pass by.
Many of them marks a happy day in my life.
But others tested our faith and trust to God.

That's all . Hope to see you again..

December Fever

Christmas in our country is totally different from other country because of our unique traditions and culture it become more enjoyable and memorable than ever. "Simbang gabi" and hanging of traditional Filipino lanterns (parol) in every houses of Filipino make us unique in our own way and style.
Giftgiving, preparing delicious food for Noche Buena and decorating our house with Christmas tree and lanterns are some of those fantastic things we do during Chistmas season and those things are truly exciting and excruciating. But some of us especially the children admitted that they don't know what is the real essence of Christmas because all they know is that it is the season for giftgiving and waiting for Santa Claus. We must teach them that the real essence of Christmas is the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ who is the real star of this celebration.
Our school really hits the holiday fever because of the 2 days celebration of Christmas. First is the annual celebration of Christmas program of SCA. Different Clubs gave color to the progarm as they entertained us with their different presentation and games. Their was also a short video which served as a tribute to our teacher this Christmas season. The highlights of the program was the Nativity story, which I played an important role (sheep) hehehehe..Second is the Classroom Christmas party, even it's simple that unforgetable party really marks in our heart and become part of our life as we move in the other horizon of my life..

Belated MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
